Test the spirits

I decided to write this section for my friend Connie as there is a growing urge, especially in America now with shows such as John Edward’s "Crossing Over", to talk with "dead people". I myself fell into channeling for about a year and made contact with a supposed dead guy who was in fact a demon playing the part, and it almost cost me my life. My story about the whole encounter with the other side will be posted on Connie’s site sometime next month or so (it’s long). I am now a believer in Jesus Christ and that folks has saved my life!

I will tell you right now, and I know maybe it’s a bit redundant as Connie goes over it quite a bit on this page, but if you play around with spirits you are going to get burned, eventually. They are NOT bored dead people, they are fallen angels that play sick games with humanity. They will play nice for a while, but everyone I know who’s done channeling has gotten into trouble, serious trouble. Possession, oppression & insanity are pretty common afflictions. I would ask you, if you are channeling, to seriously think about what you are doing. If you think that I’m just a brainwashed Christian and don’t know anything, that’s fine, you are entitled to your opinion and I respect that. But what if I am right and you are wrong…I’d say you are then in a world of trouble! At least, if nothing else, TEST your "spirit friend" with the following and see how it acts; tell the spirit you are talking with to say the following: "Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior." They either won’t say it or you will get a negative response from asking this of them.

Do you believe at all that the Bible has any validity? If you don’t I’m sorry; there’s probably not much more I could say to turn you from channeling (when my story gets finished and posted you may want to read it). If you do, then here’s some verses from the Bible for you regarding witchcraft (which is what channeling is) and the spirit world:

Ephesians 6:12 "For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against those mighty powers of darkness who rule this world, and against wicked spirits in the heavenly realms."

Revelation 21:8 "But cowards who turn away from me, and unbelievers, and the corrupt, and murderers, and the immoral, and those who practice witchcraft, and idol worshipers, and all liars--their doom is in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. This is the second death."

Deuteronomy 18:10-12 "For example, never sacrifice your son or daughter as a burnt offering. And do not let your people practice fortune-telling or sorcery, or allow them to interpret omens, or engage in witchcraft, or cast spells, or function as mediums or psychics, or call forth the spirits of the dead. Anyone who does these things is an object of horror and disgust to the LORD. It is because the other nations have done these things that the LORD your God will drive them out ahead of you."
