Spirit Encyclopedia
A brief explanation and classification of the spirits as described in Wicca, The New Age Movement, Spiritism, and the Occult. Under each explanation is a Christian comparison. A clarification is needed because as a few of these spirit classifications falsely intermingle Christian with other beliefs. Animal spirits The metaphysical link between man and nature. Animals are sacred symbols and a part of the prophesies of the future. Animals bridge the link with other spiritual realm for mankind. You can communicate with your deceased pet and they can send energy to you. There are protective animals for the individual. Christian: Animals are totally separate from humans. They bring us joy, happiness and comfort and were created by God. Animals do not bridge a spiritual realm for mankind only Jesus Christ is the spiritual bridge to God.
gods Stories of Gods who came from the skies appear through out the history of most civilizations. There description include animal or bird-headed beings; much taller than humans usually bi-pedal, two arms, one head, eyes, ears sometimes coming as robed beings more evolved that humans coming from other planets arriving in space ships or often mating with the females on the planet appearing to want to help humanity sometimes remaining here but mostly staying for a while then leaving behind legends about who they are and where they came from always saying they will return one day . Christian: The Bible is only concerned with humans on this earth. If these spirit beings exist, there are not gods but familiar spirits or evil spirits. Ghosts Ghosts are spirits caught between dimensions. They can communicate by thoughts to mediums or through the Ouija Board. Ghosts have substance. Animals can sense ghosts. Their appearance can be haze, balls of light, or ribbons of light. Christian: Ghosts are demons, evil spirits, or familiar spirits. Their activity should not be encouraged. When confronted by a spirit of this behavior, an Christian exorcist should be called and people suffering a ghost behavior should begin to practice Spiritual Warfare.
Poltergeists A poltergeist is a mischievous spirit often attracted to young teens . "Poltergeist" comes from the German words poltern, "to knock" and geist, "spirit". Poltergeists move objects, make noises and create disturbances. The history of poltergeists can be traced as far back as ancient Roman times. Poltergeist activity stops as suddenly as it starts. Christian: A poltergeist is another form of an classification of spirit. The teenagers do have a spiritual curiosity and energy; therefore, teenagers may be spiritually sensitive to a particular type of behavior in a spirit.
Spirit Guides Spirit Guides are chosen to help us progress through our spiritual development. Most spirit guides live on earth and on other realms. Guides can stay with you for a lifetime, or may leave when they want. They can appear in human form, but are naturally being of light. A spirit guide must leave when you ask. . We all have spirit guides. The average number of guides is five. Each guide generally comes for a specific purpose in our lives. You can contact your spirit guide. They help with your creative work They have a past life connection to you. Some guides are deceased relatives or extraterrestrials Some guides stay with you for your entire lifetime. Others stay for many years then leave. You can ask a spirit guide to leave and it must leave. They can speak to you through your thoughts. They speak to you in dream state, meditation. You can contact your spirit guide if you want by meditation and visualization. Christian: Spirit Guides one of the more dangerous concepts because Spirit Guides are explained in general as helpful, loving spirits. . If you look at the functions of the Spirit Guides .you can tell they ultimate the functions of the Holy Spirit. Only the Holy Spirit can teach us about spiritual progress through Jesus Christ. If Spirit Guide to leave, I do not believe that they would. They could pretend to leave and then return in the form of behavior impersonating a new spirit the person summoned. Our deceased relatives are in God's care. Another dangerous concept is that Spirit Guides are deceased relatives. There are many people who desperately want to contact their deceased relatives. These grieving people can be easily tricked into spiritism if there is no spiritual foundation with Jesus Christ. Angels are an extremely popular subject of discussion on the internet. Not everyone has the same opinion about angels and what they do on earth. Many angel web pages are based on the New Age Philosophy.
