Kempi--See Spirits

You may feel free to use any of my testimony
whenever you feel led by the Lord. Just as you shared, I had never intended on
this spiritual journey to have to relive various moments of my past. Once I
walked away, I never desired to look back. But God has a way of using our
darkest seasons and turning them to light. It's all in one's perspective. Are
you groping in the darkness? Or are you in the shadow of his wings?
"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes from the
Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. Of his
own will he brought us forth by the Word of Truth! That we might be a kind of
firstfruits of his creatures." ~ James 1:17,18
Even the hard times are a good and perfect gift, if we learn from them.
You asked me questions about slamming doors and other irritations that, yes, I
have often experienced. Through most of my childhood, and all of my adulthood I
have lived in places occupied before me. You said in your reply that Christians
sometimes write asking what to do in these kinds of situations; that they plead
the blood of Jesus over their homes, but often to no avail. I would like to
share a few thoughts that might be of some benefit to others.
First, I would have them ask the Lord for a clear gift of discerning spirits.
If they are aware, they probably have a gift already. But like any gift, it
improves with practice. Second, I would ask them not to be afraid of the special
qualities that God has given them.
"The manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the common
good." ~ 1 Corinthians 12:7
Ruminating on the 12th chapter of 1 Corinthians would be a good idea. In pagan
practices that appear on the surface the same as gifts of the Spirit, the main
difference is that in truth, there is only one Spirit, the Spirit of the living
God. In paganism, and the practice of various kinds of witchcraft and
divinations, you must use the "help" of many varieties of spirits to
discern "truth".
You asked if these noises are caused by familiar spirits? Of course, I'm not
there to discern, nor is every situation the same, but from what you've
described, this is the spirit of someone once living. A familiar spirit is
actually a demonic spirit, not the spirit of a dead person. It's familiar to the
territory the way, say, a dog would be, considering itself to have some right or
authority to be there. If this were the case, these Christians, after pleading
the blood of Jesus would probably sense some peace. But let's assume for a
moment that we are talking about familiar spirits, and so far nothing has
worked.
"Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you
may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails
much."
Before taking up battle against the enemy, one must prepare.
1) Confess your sins to one another, and pray for each other's healing.
Husband and wife should pray together. If a person is single, they
should find a family member or friend they can trust.
Before fighting evil, you must become the righteousness of the Lord.
2) Know who you are in Christ. Ephesians 1:3-14.
In Christ you have been adopted by the Father
In Christ you have been redeemed by His blood and forgiven of sin
In Christ you are being gathered together as one body to obtain an
eternal inheritance
In Christ, having trusted and believed, you were sealed with the
Holy Spirit of Promise as a guarantee
- Don't let the enemy tell you otherwise!
3) Do not be afraid. (Ignorance is fear. Truth is peace, not as the world
gives, it is peace.)
"Exceedingly great is his power toward those who believe...the God of our
Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, raised Christ from the dead and seated
Him at the right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and
power and might and dominion, and every name." Ephesians 1:20-23
In Christ we need not fear. In Christ we have all authority.
Now here's the part to hang on to, memorize, and use as a sharp-tongued sword
against the enemy: "But God who rich in mercy, because of His great love
with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive
together with Christ - by grace you have been saved - and raised us up together,
and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus." Eph.2:4-6
Now if we're seated with Christ, where's the enemy? vs 22. Under our feet!
4) Never go out on the battlefield naked. Eph. 6:10-18
Put on the armor of God that Paul tells us about. If you have children, from the
time they're babes, teach them to put on the full armor of God. Spiritual
warfare is not a game, and yet as an adult I still like to speak the words out
loud and put on the armor with movements. We receive enough negative influences
around us. Confessing this aloud as you put on your invisible armor prepares you
for what's ahead.
5) Now you are able to pray with confidence. Join forces with your partner and
pray against the enemy. Shout aloud and reclaim the territory that the Lord your
God has given you. All that is, seen and unseen, belongs to the Kingdom of our
God,
and whatever the Lord has blessed you with in this world, you have authority
over.
6) Together, in unison, all who are praying should read from the liturgy of
Isaiah 32:15-18
"The Spirit is poured upon us from on high,
and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field,
and the fruitful field is as a forest.
Justice will dwell in the wilderness,
And the righteousness remain in the fertile field.
The work of righteousness will be peace,
And the effect of righteousness,
quietness and assurance forever.
Your people will dwell in a peaceful habitation,
In secure dwellings and quiet resting places."
According to his word, you have reclaimed your home as a peaceful habitation.
7) Now you should bless your comings in and your goings out.
"You shall take a bunch of hyssop, dip it in the blood that is in the
basin, and strike the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the
basin.
And none of you shall go out of the door of his house until morning. For the
Lord will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when he sees the blood on
the lintel and on the two doorposts, the Lord will pass over the door and not
allow the destroyer to come into your houses to strike you." Exodus
12:22,23
"Jesus said: I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he shall be saved, and
will go in and out and find pasture." John 10:9
Bless all your doorways to the outside in the Name of the Father, and of the
Son, and of the Holy Spirit, blessing the top of the doorway, one side of the
doorway, and then the other.
At the front door, read the above scriptures. Then, all say:
Blessed be our comings in and blessed be our goings out.
Then give the "Priestly Blessing". The priestly blessing should be
said by the "priest of the home", that is, the husband if you are
married, or the person in authority at the home. Numbers 6:24-26
"The Lord bless us and keep us.
The Lord make his face shine upon us,
And be gracious to us,
The Lord lift his countenance upon us,
And give us peace." Amen.
8) Going out with a song, is always a powerful way to end this time of
fervent prayer and spiritual warfare.
Here is a canticle from Isaiah. It can be sung or said:
"I will greatly rejoice in the Lord,
My soul shall be joyful in my God;
For he has clothed me with garments of salvation,
He has covered me with a robe of righteousness.
As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments,
And as a bride adorns herself with jewels.
For as the earth brings forth its bud,
As a garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth,
So the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise
To spring forth before all the nations." Isaiah 61:10,11
Well, Connie, I know that was long, but it was necessary to make sure it was
done right.
Now let's assume that one has discerned that this is a human spirit. When
frustrated in this way, I also often find my keys missing. This I'm sure goes
back to the idea of territory. To the spirit, you're the trespasser.
Instead of praying against this spirit, and more than likely we are talking
about a human spirit, let us all join together to pray for this lost soul.
Let's look back at James chapter 5, beginning vs 13.
1) Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray.
In this case, let us pray for him.
2) Is anyone sick? Let the elders anoint him.
Not everyone wants to involve the "elders" because if they are like
me, they may have had some very negative past experiences. Not everyone is
sensitive to these kinds of things. Use your judgment. In any case, whether you
pray alone or involving others, it is common practice to be anointed in someone
else's place. One of you may stand in proxy for the travailing spirit, and one
can anoint their forehead and hands in the Name of the Father, and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit, and pray for the soul. The person being anointed will
likely receive some word of knowledge concerning the soul so all can pray more
precisely for them.
3) The result? "The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will
raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." Again,
let me reiterate. This is not a game. You are truly taking on the role of priest
and intercessor between God and this travailing sinner. They need forgiveness,
they need release from their sins, to rest in peace.
4) Just as with the familiar spirits, those praying should confess their sins
one to another and pray for one another for their own healing as well. This
should be a time of spiritual change for you as well as the soul for whom you
are praying. "The effective, fervent prayer of the righteous man avails
much."
