Lucid Dreams Passive Channeling
True lucid dreaming involves remembering what you dream. A lucid dream is a dream in which you are aware of the fact that you are dreaming. You realize that your body is asleep and that you appear to be communicating with your deceased loved one. You did not seek communication with the spirit of a deceased loved one but you receive a lucid dream that has a message of comfort or a final good-bye. This type of spiritual dreaming is called passive channeling. ** The person dreaming has not actively sought communication. There seems to be a strong spiritual connection between loved ones. When a loved-one dies that connection may not severed immediately. The deceased loved-one attempts to communicate through dreams to give a last goodbye or a message of comfort. The deceased loved one chose to communicate with you in your dream. There is no danger of spirit influence or possession as in active channeling. The lucid dream had a message your loved one wanted to convey--then they are gone.
The concept of lucid dreams and spirit communication of a loved one is debated by the experts. My only expertise come from personal experience. Although I am a Christian, these experiences cannot be denied by me. Christian and non-Christian people can fumble with explanations when these dreams are experienced. Are these dreams of the subconscious or are they communication with the spirit of a loved one? No one knows for sure and no one can prove their point of view. I
have received questions from people who want say one last goodbye but do not receive
the dreams. There could be many reasons for this. Maybe
you are not naturally spiritual sensitive, maybe the spirit of your loved one
does not want to communicate, or maybe it takes too much energy to
communicate with you. If you do not have these experiences after the
death or your loved one, then just accept that is how it must be. Do not
actively seek the spirits of your loved ones. It is dangerous as explained
in the "Active Channeling" page links posted below. Lucid dreams can be the path the clairvoyant - or precognitive uses to travel into the future see events and bring back the information. The terms (clairvoyant and precognitive) belong to psychology but the experiences are mine and my families.
True Stories: Premonitions of The Future My father had a dream of a cross every day for two weeks before the sudden death of my brother.
Communication With My Brother Shortly after the funeral, my mother had a dream -- my brother asked her why he did not have any shoes. Later she was told that the funeral home did not bury him with shoes.
Communication with my Father
In a lucid dream one night about two weeks after my father's death, I saw my deceased father sitting in a chair. He look physically strong and young. I said, "Dad, how are you? Don't you have anything to say to me? He was silent for a few moments and then said, "Connie, you need to lighten-up, you take life too seriously." When I awakened the next morning, I thought that was a odd dream. Was it really a communication from my Dad? I don't know for certain and cannot prove it was not my subconscious mind. I do know that our conversation helped me many times in my life. When I become too serious or tense, I think, "Connie, Lighten-up." I cannot help but smile. My Dad was right as usual, I do sometimes take life too seriously.
**(I call this process passive channeling and don't know if the "experts" have used this concept.)
