Jesus gives us gifts of the Holy
Spirit. We will have joy and peace when we learn which gift is ours
and how to use the gift for the benefit of the King.
But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each
one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through
the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the spirit, to
another he working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning
of spirits, to another different kind of tongues, to another, the
interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these
things, distributing to each on individually as He wills. 1
Cor. 12:4-11

one's time and resources to help the church. Such as helping to preform
the daily tasks of the church. Ex. Cooking a wonderful meal, or cleaning

Teaching Jesus has asked all of us to teach
the things we learn from the Lord. The main difference between someone
called to the ministry of the teacher (under the five fold ministry) and
other people that teach is the anointing.

The Ministry Gifts (Eph 4:11)
Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers
(Eph 4:11) (Eph 4:8-10). Jesus calls a person into this
ministry. We do not choose what we want to be.
Apostles: An Apostle is the
combination of all of the other ministry gifts. They will always remained
called by Jesus. They are anointed to plant, establish and build up the
body of Christ. All the disciples of Jesus were apostles Matt 10:2, Acts
2:42. Paul was also called to be an apostle 1 Tim 1:1
Prophets: These are anointed to
speak prophetically about the will of God. Prophets speak to the body of
Christ and to the unbelieving world. They are always sensitive to the Holy
Spirit's voice.
Evangelist: These are anointed to preach
the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Reverend Billy Graham is a great example
of an Evangelist. When he speaks the Word of God, the people are sensitive
and want to come to Jesus their ministry is clearly defined in Lk 4:18-19
Pastors: Pastors take care of
the flock of God. Another word for Pastor is Shepherd.
Teachers: Teaching what we learn
through the Holy Spirit. The people who have this gift teach through the
power of God.
A special warning to you: You must have strong
knowledge of the Scriptures to discern the voice of the Holy Spirit. Other
spirits can attempt to counterfeit the Holy Spirit--Be sure you are not
fooled. A counterfeit spirit will strongly force a statement. It will not
have any regard for the laws in the Bible. It does not mention Jesus
Christ.
**The Gifts of the Holy Spirit should be sought and
used in the body of the church. The gifts are to make the church stronger
by direct communication through the Holy Spirit. Another word of warning:
Many of the gifts of the Holy Spirit can counterfeited by spiritualism.
The gift of prophecy and tongues and interpretation of tongues is very
different than a channeling experience of a spiritualist. Be sure you are
solidly grounded to a church with experienced spiritual leaders. All gifts
must be measured for validity by the Bible.
